Whoosh-Crackle-Pop Sound Effects Kit

Captain A will help you learn: Children make whooshes, crackles, pops and bangs from household junk to create a firework soundtrack. They learn that every sound is made by something vibrating, and think about why real fireworks can frighten pets and some people, and how to be kind on Bonfire Night.
⚠️ Keep the sounds at a comfortable volume and don't make loud noises close to anyone's ears. Keep bubble wrap and plastic bags away from babies and young children. Be gentle around pets.
Play through the project step by step, with narration read aloud.

Glowing Tissue-Flame Bonfire
Builds a pretend bonfire from cardboard-tube logs and tissue-paper flames that glows with a battery tea light. Along the way children learn that a real fire needs fuel, heat and air, and the Bonfire Night safety rules: grown-ups light fires, and everyone else stays well back.

Tube-Stamp Firework Prints
Turns old cardboard tubes into fringed stamps that print bursting fireworks on black paper. Children discover radial patterns that spread out from a centre, and see how bright colours stand out best against a dark background, just like real fireworks in the night sky.

Shake-and-Burst Firework Bottle
A calming sensory bottle where glitter and star sequins burst and swirl like fireworks, then slowly drift down. Young children explore how glue makes water thicker so things sink more slowly, and it is a gentle way to talk about loud fireworks if they feel worried on Bonfire Night.
