No-Sew Knotted Fleece Cushion

Lay the two fleece squares exactly on top of each other with the nicest sides facing out.

Ask an adult to cut a small 5cm square out of each corner so the layers stay neat.

Have the adult cut a fringe of strips about 2cm wide and 5cm deep all the way around every edge, cutting through both layers together.

Starting at one corner, take the top strip and the bottom strip of a matching pair and tie them together in a double knot.

Carry on knotting pairs of strips along three of the four sides, leaving the last side open.

Push handfuls of stuffing through the open side until the cushion feels plump but still squishy.

Knot the strips along the final side to seal the cushion closed.

Give every knot a gentle tug to check it is tight, then fluff up the fringe all around.
