Recycled Tube Kaleidoscope

Cut three equal strips of thick card and cover one side of each with smooth aluminium foil.

Tape the three shiny strips together into a triangular prism with the reflective foil facing inside.

Slide the foil prism into the kitchen roll tube so it fits snugly.

Tape a circle of clear plastic over one end of the tube to create a sealed inner chamber.

Drop colourful beads onto the clear plastic surface and cover them loosely with a circle of tracing paper.

Look through the open end towards a bright light and spin the tube to see shifting symmetrical patterns.
