Chevron Friendship Bracelet

Cut two lengths of each colour so you have pairs, then tie all the threads together in one knot about 8cm from the top.

Tape the knot firmly to a table, or pin it to a cushion, so the threads hang down straight.

Arrange the threads so the colours mirror each other, with matching pairs on the left and right sides.

Take the far-left thread and make a forward '4' shape over its neighbour, pull the loop up tight, and repeat on the same neighbour to lock the knot.

Keep knotting that left thread over each thread moving towards the middle.

Do the same from the far-right side, this time making backwards knots, until it also reaches the middle.

Tie the two middle threads together once to complete the first V row.

Repeat the whole sequence row after row until the bracelet is long enough to wrap your wrist, then finish with a knot and a plait to tie it on.
