Red Cabbage Colour Changer

Professor O will help you learn: Red cabbage juice is a natural indicator - it turns pink in acids and blue/green in alkalis.
โ ๏ธ An adult handles the hot water and pours it over the cabbage, then lets the juice cool before children use it. Don't drink the test liquids, and wash hands afterwards, as cabbage juice can stain.
Steps
- Put the chopped red cabbage into the heatproof bowl.
- Ask an adult to pour hot water over the cabbage until it is covered, then leave it to soak and cool until the water turns deep purple (about 20 minutes).
