Shoe Box Eclipse Projector

Tape a sheet of plain white paper inside one short end of the shoe box to act as your viewing screen.

Cut two separate small rectangular windows out of the opposite short end of the shoe box.

Cover one of the cut-out windows completely with aluminium foil and tape it down securely.

Carefully poke a tiny, clean hole through the centre of the aluminium foil using a pin.

Fit the lid firmly onto the shoe box so no unwanted light leaks inside.

Stand with your back to the Sun, let the light shine through the pinhole, and look through the open window to view the projected solar image on your white screen.
