Star Projector Jar

Wash and dry the jar so the inside is clear and clean.

Cut a piece of foil big enough to line the inside wall of the jar.

Lay the foil flat on a thick pad of newspaper to protect the table.

Ask an adult to prick lots of little holes all over the foil in a scattered star pattern.

Curl the foil into a tube, shiny side inwards, and slide it inside the jar so it lines the wall.

Switch on the battery tea light and lower it into the bottom of the jar.

Turn off the room lights and make it as dark as you can.

Watch the tiny beams of light shine out through the holes and dot the walls with stars.

Slowly turn the jar so the stars sweep across the ceiling like the night sky moving.
