Magic Cornflour Gloop

Put down a wipeable mat and pop your child in old clothes or an apron.

Tip the cornflour into the bowl.

Add the water a little at a time while your child stirs with their hands.

Keep adding water slowly until the mixture is smooth and runs off a spoon but feels hard when you tap it quickly.

Let your child punch the surface fast to feel it turn solid.

Then show them how to scoop a slow handful and watch it drip like a liquid.

Stir in a drop or two of food colouring if you fancy some colour.

When you are finished, scrape the gloop into the bin rather than the sink, as it can block drains.
