Junk Drum Kit

Gather your containers and check with an adult that none have sharp edges.

Turn each container upside down so the closed bottom faces up.

Arrange them in a curve in front of you, like a real drum kit.

Tap each one gently with a spoon and listen carefully to its sound.

Move the containers around so the deep boomy ones and the sharp tappy ones sit where you want them.

Try tapping a slow steady beat: one, two, three, four.

Drum out your own rhythm, and if a tub slides about, pop a folded tea towel underneath to hold it still.
